As the title says, the iPhone 14 Pro Max lasts longer than its predecessor which was expected. But did you know that the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a lower battery capacity? Well, just slightly.
During the iPhone 14 Pro Max battery test, Tom’s Guide said that it can last two hours longer than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. To give you an idea, it can last an average time of 14 hours and 42 minutes before giving out, whereas the iPhone 13 Pro Max lasted 12 hours and 16 minutes.
We mentioned that the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s battery is just slightly lower, coming in with a 4352mAh battery capacity, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s battery is 4323mAh only. In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s battery went down to 30% only in 5 hours while downloading apps, listening to songs, and taking photos and videos. Most impressive.
That said, even though the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a smaller battery capacity, the fast charging performance falls short. While Apple claimed that it can reach 50% in less than 30 minutes, the battery test showed that it only charged up to 42% within the period. This is probably due to the 20W fast charging technology.
Whichever the case, battery performance is usually not one of Apple’s strongest strengths. We have yet to receive any of the iPhone 14 series review units too so there’s only so much we can say. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
